Families of Baloch forced-disappeared protested for the recovery of their loved ones

Occupied Baluchistan: Relatives of missing persons staged a protest demonstration at Manan Chowk of Quetta on Saturday demanding early and safe recovery of the victims. Earlier, they took out a procession from Quetta Press Club and after marching through many streets, including Kandhari Bazaar, Liaquat Bazaar, Prince Road and Jinnah Road they held a demonstration at Manan Chowk. Sister of Dr.Deen Mohammad, Wadood Raisani, Mir Ghaffar Langov and relatives of others forced-disappeared said that in this The Holy month (Ramadan) all the peoples are staying at home but we the Baluch honorable women are protesting for the recovery of our loved once.

This country (Pakistan) which was in the name of loot and plunder has made life a hell for the people of Baluchistan since the illegal occupation of Baluch land. Apart from 11 August the entire month has brought martyrdom and grief; they further said that more than 8000 Baluch men and women are fighting for their lives in state (Pakistan) military’s torture centers . Despite of claiming to be the vanguard of Islam the state is committing barbarism in the name of Islam. “Why the protectors of Islam have ignored the protest demonstrations of respected Baluch women, who are justifiably demanding the recovery of their loved ones”, Baluch sisters Questioned. They said that from Nawab Noroz to Shaheed Qadeer Baluch they all had sacrificed their lives for freedom of Baluchistan.

They said that the Baluch had fought against the British imperialists and they will defeat her agents as well. Expressing their dissatisfaction toward Pakistan justice system they said “We don’t have any expectations from Pakistani judiciary that is why we urged the International Human rights organizations and United Nations to play their due role for safe recovery of the Baluch victims and take notice of State terrorism in Baluchistan”.

Meantime hunger strike for the recovery of Altaf Bugti, Najeeeb Qambarani, Samiullah Mengal, Chakar Marri, Mujeeb Qambarani and Abdul Nasir Marri’s families entered into 11th day. Families stated in a joint statement that they had established a non-political camp for the recovery of their loved ones from the custody of Pakistan intelligence agencies; they had no affiliation with any political parties.

Zakir Majeed family’s hunger strike entered into 94th day, many persons visited the camp to express their solidarity with the family. Interacting with the visitors the family said that extra judicial abduction and disappearance of a student for 18 months raise many questions about his safety and well-being. The families of Baluch forced-disappeared activist urged the United Nations, International Human Rights Organizations and the Baluch Diaspora to play their role for the recovery of their loved ones.
